Staffel 11 is one of three F/A-18 squadrons of the Swiss Army and a member of the Tiger Association, in which every country beautifies the fighter jet with a tiger emblem. In 2016 we've won the first competition with our design. This was followed by a second win in 2020 and the creation of the brand design for the squadron.

We spend 5 days in the hangar of Meiringen, painting the FA-18 in painstaking handwork, excluded from the curious eyes of the spotter community.

Insights

A new challenge: temperature differences of up to 90° Celsius, speeds of up to 2000 km/h. The paint needs to stay permanent.
